				In 1996, a friend gave my little girl, age 10, a beading kit.  Following the instruction sheet, I patiently showed her how to use it but I must admit I found it difficult to keep all those little beads where I wanted them.  My mercurial spirit wanted to see results!  So I started playing around with a board, a cut off paint stirrer stick, and nails.  What do you know, it worked.  Next I approached my very talented husband in my very sweetest voice, thinking I'd use bribery if necessary, "Mel honey, could you build me something that looks like this drawing and will work like this?"  Lucky me, he could and he did.
